A PTA is a local, self-governing unit. It promotes the Purposes and Mission of the New Jersey PTA and the National PTA as it plans its programs and activities to meet the needs of children and youth in the community. It is linked through its all-inclusive membership and by its acceptance of the Purposes and Mission of the National PTA and the New Jersey PTA.

  • Visit and fill out the short quote form available on this site!
  • Once the quote short form is submitted, your PTA will receive $20!

Fall Advocacy Day

Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM

NJ Association of School Business Officials Headquarters
4 AAA Drive, Suite 101, Robbinsville, NJ 08691

Please join NJPTA for a day of advocacy. The day will feature hands on workshops to assist our members in advocating for change in your own communities. You are encouraged to bring your concerns and will be assisted in creating a roadmap to bring those concerns to your local, state and/or federal leaders.

The schedule of events will be as follows with periodic visits from distinguished legislators:
9:30 AM- Registration Begins
10:00 AM- Introductions and Overview of Proper Election Edict
10:20 AM- Advocacy Training with break out groups to offer hands on training
11:50 AM- Lunch is Served
12:30 PM- Guest Speaker- DAVID C. HESPE, Acting Commissioner, New Jersey Department of Education
1:00 PM- Hot Topic Discussion- Common Core State Standards
1:30 PM- Hot Topic Presentation- Unaccompanied minors in our schools
2:00 PM- Adjourn

This event is FREE to NJPTA Members, but registration is required. Registration is limited to 50 attendees, so register early!

The return of the New Jersey Parent-Teacher Magazine in a new digital version is returning. All Local PTAs are encouraged to submit articles and event recaps to magazine@njpta.orgThe deadline for each month's issues will be the 25th!

National PTA School of Excellence New Jersey Awardees

A hearty CONGRATULATIONS! to the Five New Jersey PTA Local PTAs who received National PTA School of Excellence Awards! The prestigious award recognizes partnerships between PTAs and schools who worked to achieve our shared vision – to make every child's potential a reality. Each recipient receives a Celebration Kit including banners and turn-key tools for their celebrations. Way to Go!
