|New Jersey PTA is excited to be back in person for our 2022 Leadership Convention! Plans are underway, and we look forward to having you join us on April 1 & April 2, 2022!|
We are excited to share the following details…
New Location: You will love the DoubleTree by Hilton Fairfield Hotel and Suites located in Fairfield, NJ (Essex County), you asked, and we listened. So join us this year as we head to North Jersey for the first time in nearly 25 years. Uncomfortable attending in person? Don’t worry! There is a Virtual Option!
New Events: This year, we can’t wait to have you join us at our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Breakfast and our President-to-President Luncheon. Our State President, Candy Fredericks, is excited to meet all the local and council presidents for some special one-on-one time. You won’t want to miss it, and you can look forward to a Panel Discussion with education leaders and a Friday Fun Night Dinner Event with The Brain Show.
Engaging Speakers: We have invited education leaders, motivational speakers, and friends of PTA to join us at our convention. You won’t want to miss the wealth of information you will receive from them.
Exhibit Hall Fun: It has been two full years since we have been able to join our exhibitor friends in person, and they are ready with exciting programs, events, and ideas you can bring back to your PTAs. Including having lots of great giveaways. Make sure you save some room in your luggage to bring home all the goodies you will get. For the first time, we will also include an entirely virtual Exhibit Hall along with our in-person exhibit hall.
Bonus training event: If you register for any of our registration packages, you are invited to join us on Thursday night, March 31, for FREE PTA training and dinner! This opportunity will fulfill your training requirement for the 2021 – 2022 school year or get a jump start on your 2022 – 2023 training requirement.
Please don’t wait! Register today and reserve your hotel room, so you and your PTA friends are ready to experience NJPTA’s 2022 Leadership Convention.

Business of the Association
Proposed Amended and Restated Certificate of Incorporation
The purpose of this Amended and Restated Certificate of Incorporation is to allow us to modernize and ensure it does not conflict with our other Governing Documents. The last update of this document was in 1932.
Proposed Local PTA Uniform Bylaws and State PTA Bylaws Amendments
One of the Leadership Convention highlights is voting on our Association Bylaws, which are our primary governing documents. As a delegate, you will be able to vote on these NJPTA Bylaws Amendments.
Please take the time to read through the amendments in the registration packet and forward any questions to Sarita Dodd, Procedure and Bylaws Chair, at email@example.com.
Proposed Legislative Actions and Priorities and Resolutions
Resolutions are official NJPTA positions and are the platform from which we advocate. Legislative Actions and Priorities are the guiding advocacy pillars for the upcoming year.
Resolutions debate is one of the high points of leadership convention. When you come together with other delegates to voice your views and act on your principles, you will feel the collective power of volunteers to make a difference to children and schools.
You can view the Proposed Advocacy Items Here.
If you have any questions, please email our Legislative Activities and Resolutions Chair, Deborah Villarreal-Hadley, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
