This has been a difficult decision that will impact members across the state, where the majority are in communities with no known active virus activity.

Registration is now open for the 2020 NJPTA Leadership Convention!

Friday, March 20th and Saturday, March 21st

The New Jersey PTA Leadership Convention is where PTA leaders from across the state take
part in valuable conversations, training, networking, celebrating our accomplishments and
conducting the annual business of the organization.

Attend the 119th NJPTA Leadership Convention, ‘On Safari with New Jersey PTA’, and let your
voice be heard through participation in the business of our association. NJPTA is proposing
uniform bylaws for all local unit PTAs (see below for more information) and you/your PTA need
to be part of the discussion/decision! Learn about issues that affect our children from our
featured speakers and by attending workshop sessions. Gain valuable leadership skills that will
help your PTA plan for the future as you attend training workshops and meet the required
training component of Good Standing.

What does the Registration Fee cover?
Your registration fee covers access to workshops, the Exhibit Hall, discounted meal costs, complimentary meals, convention swag bag, literature, services and support that NJPTA provides during convention, and the opportunity to win many exciting door prizes!
NJPTA volunteers work hard all year long to secure sponsors to help subsidize a major part of the costs incurred to provide you with this important and informative Convention Experience. Convention costs can be covered by allocating PTA funds for officers/board members/members and is considered “an appropriate use of funds” for the training, networking, and resources you gain by attending the annual convention. The experience gained far exceeds the investment!
As you go through the registration process, you will notice that the cost of a full convention experience is less than in past years! We are at a new venue, with a new schedule and new pricing – we hope this will encourage you to join us on our safari!
New in 2020!!
There will be 2 General Meetings of the NJPTA at convention. Friday evening will be a dinner meeting and Saturday morning will be a breakfast meeting. Both of these meals are included in your registration fee, however, you must pre-register for them!
Registration Fees:
Two Days – Friday and Saturday
Early Bird (through January 31st): $70.00 per person
After January 31st: $80.00 per person
One Day – Friday or Saturday: $55.00 per person
Additional Meal Costs:
Friday Lunch: $25.00 per person
Saturday Awards Dinner: $45.00 per person

New Jersey PTA has negotiated a daily room rate of $145.00 (a $10.00 savings over 2019 Convention room rates!). This includes all taxes and fees. Room rate includes complimentary parking, guestroom WiFi and shuttle service within a 2-mile radius. To receive the NJPTA Convention room rate, hotel reservations must be made through NJPTA.

25 Year Group Luncheon/Meeting

Celebrating 83 Years!

The NJPTA 25 Year Group will be holding their annual luncheon/meeting on Saturday, March 21, 2020, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the NJPTA Leadership Convention.  This year’s convention is at Delta by Marriott in Woodbridge, NJ. It is not necessary to be a member to attend but you will be able to join that day. Any person who has been a member of a PTA for 25 years or longer (need not be consecutive) shall be eligible for membership. The initial membership fee is $10.00 and dues are $2.00 per year after the first year. You will receive a 25 year pin, a membership card and a copy of the Standing Rules. Membership applications will be available at the luncheon.

This year’s sit-down luncheon menu will be a tossed green salad, penne pasta primavera with grilled chicken, cheesecake with strawberry coulis with iced tea, coffee and tea.   The cost is $35.00 and includes entrance to the Exhibit Hall which will be open from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
