NJPTA’s goal is to provide new, innovative and effective events and programs to support local PTAs and councils across the state and help them develop strategies key to their success. Programs and events help members become knowledgeable and skilled volunteers who are able to serve their local PTAs and councils more effectively.
Another way the association supports local organizations is through an awards and recognition program that celebrates the work PTAs do to make a difference in their communities.
The purpose is to create a culture of appreciation by encouraging and recognizing individuals, local PTAs, and councils for their accomplishments in promoting the well-being and education of children in the state of New Jersey.

Raise Awareness about Internet Safety
Safer Internet Day is an international education and awareness-raising effort, celebrated in over 100 countries on Feb. 11, 2020. The day brings communities together to address online issues such as cyberbullying and social networking for a safer and better internet.
Led by Connect Safely in the United States, Safer Internet Day encourages parents, students and educators to discuss trending digital issues and empowers them to use technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.
Together with our PTA Connected sponsors, and especially Google, National PTA is proud to support the goals of Safer Internet Day by helping PTAs nationwide to host events and share resources that help families navigate today’s digital world.
Find Answers to Questions like:
How can families keep each other safe?
How can we empower children to be mindful of their own online privacy?
How can parents’ model safe online behaviors for their children?
We encourage PTAs to join these important conversations so we can work together to create a safe and responsible digital community. Host or take part in a Safer Internet Day event near you.
