Lisa’s Candidate Statement
My name is Lisa Falco and I am a candidate for the position of New Jersey PTA Vice President of Leadership Development.
I have been involved in PTA since my son Anthony entered Kindergarten in 1988! After serving at the Local, Town, County, and State levels of PTA, I want to continue my PTA ‘career’ as an officer of the New Jersey PTA. The PTA mission drives me to continue to work for all children in an effort to ensure their school and community offer them the best education and environment available to help them reach their potential.
As Vice President of Leadership Development, I will share my years of experience and wealth of information with Local unit PTA leaders. This includes training leaders in PTA policy and procedure giving them the tools to run their PTAs effectively, as well as, helping them work through issues and concerns as they arise during the PTA/school year.
In the position of Vice President of Leadership Development, I will train and work collaboratively with the Field Service Team (New Jersey PTA Region Directors and County and Council Presidents) to build our Local PTA units into effective organizations. I will also work to develop and encourage local leaders to continue to use their PTA skills and knowledge at the Council and State Levels of PTA.
I look forward to working with all New Jersey PTA members and leaders as I fulfill my duties as the New Jersey PTA Vice President of Leadership Development.
