Board of Directors

New Jersey PTA members elect a representative board of directors to manage the business of the association every two years at the spring annual meeting during the NJPTA Convention. The board of directors is charged, on behalf of all NJPTA members, with the fiduciary duty and oversight of the largest child advocacy organization in the state of New Jersey. In addition to the volunteer board positions, NJPTA is managed with the help of a small and efficient staff.

Greg began serving on the board of Zane North PTA in Collingswood in 2016. Greg implemented significant changes to their fundraising strategy, organizing events designed to bring families together and build a sense of community while raising money to support their students’ activities. He produced innovative social media content as a way to improve communication, and Zane North PTA was awarded the 2018 New Jersey PTA Success Award for Communication for these efforts.  Greg also spearheaded Zane North’s National PTA School of Excellence application and the school was designated as a 2018-2020 National PTA School of Excellence honoree, the highest achievement a PTA can earn. Greg was then named the president of Zane North PTA prior to the 2018-19 school year. Under his leadership, Zane North PTA took significant strides to expand the scope of their work into areas focused on PTA’s mission of advocating for all children. Zane North PTA introduced an educational presentation on keeping children safe from guns, hosted events encouraging healthy lifestyles, and was awarded a $1,000 grant from National PTA and Google to present a family workshop on keeping children safe while using the Internet. Greg also traveled to Washington DC as part of the National PTA Legislative Conference to advocate before members of Congress on education issues. During Greg’s first year as Zane North PTA president, Zane North was named New Jersey PTA’s Outstanding Local Unit at the 2019 New Jersey PTA Leadership Convention, and they increased membership in their PTA by 210%.  Greg shared Zane North’s membership success story in a workshop he presented at the June 2019 National PTA Convention in Columbus, OH. Greg also wrote and directed a video starring the Zane North community which won an award from the Camden County PTA and told the story of PTA Founders Day, highlighting PTA achievements over the years and how it all relates to their work today.
